15 December 2015 - Johannesburg to Paris
Check in with your tour manager in Johannesburg at Oliver Tambo airport around 16:00. After check in we depart Johannesburg to Paris for the start of our European adventure. (Dinner on board flight).
16 December 2015 - Paris
After arriving in Paris we depart on a bus tour showing you some of the main sites of Paris. We stop and take some photo’s of the magnificent Eiffel Tower before heading the famous golden dome which is known as Napoleon’s Tomb. After some refreshment time at the hotel we go on a walking tour of the Sacre Coeur, Mont Mart and the Moulin Rouge. (Breakfast on board flight)
17 December 2015 - Paris
A morning guided tour of Paris shows you the Opera house, Louvre Museum, Arc de Triomph, Notre Damne and Eiffel Tower. After lunch, an optional boat cruise takes you to the foot of the Eiffel tower where you will be able to make your way to the top floor with amazing 360 degree views of Paris. (Breakfast)
18 December 2015 - Paris to Bruges to Amsterdam
We depart France and enter Belgium to the picture perfect Bruges. Famous for its water Canal’s, Lace, Chocolate, Waffles and all sorts of beer!! Spend your free afternoon in the many museums, shopping or enjoying the many sweet delights that are offer. We continue into the Netherlands, and spend the evening just outside Amsterdam in the small village of Monnickendam, on the shores of the Ijsselmeer. (Breakfast, Dinner)
19 December 2015 - Amsterdam
The Dutch adventure starts in the country side as we visit Zaanse Schans windmill village and the beautiful harbour village of Volendam. We then see how the traditional Clog’s (Wooden Shoe’s or Klompe) are made, and we taste some of the famous Edam cheese. We continue to central Amsterdam for a free afternoon, followed by a red light district tour The rest of the night is yours to explore Amsterdam, the coffee shops, and to paint the town “Red”. (Breakfast)
20 December 2015 - Amsterdam
A full free day to enjoy many of the museums, canals or just wonder the streets or the brave can rent a bike. C the World recommends unlimited ribs in Leidseplein, Anne Frank museum and an evening canal cruise, enjoy the light features that can only seen over the festive period. (Breakfast)
21 December 2015 - Amsterdam to Boppard
We depart the Netherlands to Germany to the Rhine Valley, world renown for all its Castles between the steep vines. We enjoy a cruise on the Rhine River from St. Goar to Boppard where we will spend the night. Wine tasting anyone? We also enjoy dinner at our hotel on the banks of the Rhine river. (Breakfast, Dinner)
22 December 2015 - Boppard to Munich
Today we head south through Germany to the Bavarian capital of Munich. Upon arrival we check into our hotel and head straight for the famous Christmas Markets. Dinner this evening is in a traditional beer Keller with the traditional 1 liter beer’s (Steins), loads of food and traditional oompah music to make this an evening to remember. (Breakfast, Dinner)
23 December 2015 - Munich to Vienna
This morning is off to a great start as we head for Vienna, the capital of Austria. We enjoy a guided tour of all the main sites of Vienna. A free evening to explore the Austrian capital. Visit a Austrian Christmas Market or book a classical music concert? (Breakfast)
24 December 2015 - Vienna to Salzburg to Innsbruck
This morning we head west in Austria, where we stop in Salzburg, the birthplace of classical music, for lunch. See where Mozart was born and raised, or visit the lovely castle overlooking the town and the Austrian Alps. After lunch we continue to Innsbruck for a free Christmas eve in the Austrian Alps. (Breakfast)
25 December 2015 - Innsbruck
MERRY CHRISTMAS. A free day to explore the majestic mountains of the Austrian Alps. Why not head into the mountain and have your Christmas lunch in the snow while building a snowman or making snow angels? (Breakfast)
26 December 2015 - Innsbruck to Cortina to Venice
We stay in the mountains as we head into the Italian Dolomites and have lunch in the ski town of Cortina D’Ampezzo. Venice is our next stop. Rest well, because tomorrow we head into Venice for the canals and shops. (Breakfast)
27 December 2015 - Venice
A morning guided tour will tell you more about how Venice came to be the magical islands that they are today, which is followed by a free afternoon, C the World recommends the glass blowing island of Murano or enjoy a slice of pizza and a glass of wine next to one of the canals before going on a Gondola ride. (Breakfast)
28 December 2015 - Venice to Florence to Pisa
Today we enter the rolling hills of Tuscany, and we make our way towards Florence for a city tour. See the famous Duomo, Bridge of Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria (Where you can see the copy of Michelangelo’s St David’s statue). We leave the beauty of Florence, and make our way to the leaning tower of Pisa, one of the most famous European landmarks. Tonight we sleep in a beach side hotel in Viareggio with views across the Mediterranean. (Breakfast, Dinner)
29 December 2015 - Pisa to Interlaken
A beautiful drive in Switzerland awaits as we make our way to the World famous Jungfrau region. On the way we will be passing Milan, Lake Como and then at last enter the magical mountains that guide us to our hotel in Interlaken. Truly a day to remember! (Breakfast, Dinner)
30 December 2015 - Interlaken
A free day to enjoy the Jungfrau Region. Go up to the highest railway station in Europe known as the Jungfraujoch, or head up to Grindelwald first for some great skiing or a 15km sledge run? (Breakfast)
31 December 2015 - Interlaken to Paris
NEW YEARS EVE in Paris!! We arrive in Paris in the late afternoon, and prepare for a wonderfull New Years eve in Paris. Remember comfortable shoes and lets go and enjoy the fire works at the Eiffel, the river Seine or from Mont Mart. Its your evening to enjoy!! (Breakfast)
1 January 2016 - Paris to Johannesburg
Happy New Year!! We have a slow start to your last free day in Paris. We depart to Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris late afternoon for our evening flight home. (Breakfast, Dinner on-board flight)
2 January 2016 - Johannesburg
At an arrival time of 09:50 back in Johannesburg we say goodbye to new friends made, take your memories with you, and start thinking about the reunion party!! (Breakfast on flight)
