22 April 2023 - JOHANNESBURG TO MUNICH

Check in with your tour guide at OR Tambo International airport in Johannesburg around 17:30 PM. We depart to Munich at 20:50. (Dinner on board flight)

23 April 2023 - MUNICH

We arrive in Munich at 13:30. After clearing customs and collecting our luggage, we continue to the hotel to quickly refresh. We will visit the beautiful Marienplatz for some free time and shopping before dinner. We enjoy dinner in one of the most famous breweries in Munich, the Hofbrauhaus. Enjoy a traditional dinner with a live Oompah band, and perhaps try the local 1 L beers! (Breakfast, Dinner)

24 April 2023 - MUNICH TO INNSBRUCK TO SALZBURG

Austria awaits! We visit the beautiful town of Innsbruck, the home of Swarovski. Ladies, get ready to shop till you drop! Guys, why not taste some local Schnapps? We continue onto the home of Mozart, Salzburg. See the beautiful Fortress, as well as where Mozart was born and use to live. We spend the night in this magical city! (Breakfast)

25 April 2023 - SALZBURG TO VIENNA

After breakfast we depart to the capital city of Austria, Vienna. Surely one of the highlights of the tour! After our arrival in Vienna, we enjoy a guided tour with a local guide to see all the main sites that Vienna has to offer. The afternoon is yours to explore the city at your own pace, enjoy some shopping and perhaps a coffee in a traditional Kaffeehaus. (Breakfast)

26 April 2023 - VIENNA

A full free day to explore the many sites of the Austrian capital. Visit the Schönbrunn Palace, or perhaps the oldest Zoo in the world, the Schönbrunn Zoo. (Breakfast)

27 April 2023 - VIENNA TO BRATISLAVA TO BUDAPEST

Next stop is the Capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. We enjoy a quick orientational tour next to the Danube river and show you the main sites of Bratislava. We depart Slovakia and enter Hungary as we make our way to the capital of Hungary, Budapest. (Breakfast, Dinner)

28 April 2023 - BUDAPEST

A morning guided tour shows you the main sites of the Capital of Hungary, Budapest. The Hungarian capital Budapest is in fact two cities, Buda and Pest, divided by the river Danube. The two parts of the city could not be more different. Enjoy your own free time in the afternoon and evening to explore this amazing city. (Breakfast)

29 April 2023 - BUDAPEST TO KRAKOW

We start heading North and enter Poland. We make our way across to Krakow, the second biggest city in Poland. Visit the Rynek Glowny (main square) and walk the streets of Krakow. (Breakfast)

30 April 2023 - KRAKOW TO AUSCHWITZ TO WROCLAW

Next stop on our tour is the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and Memorial. A sad site to visit, but yet still an unbelievable experience. Enjoy a tour of the concentration camp and museum, where approximately 1,500 000 people died in the concentration camp, mostly jews in the Gas chambers. We continue to visit the town that is quickly growing a reputation as the Venice of the North, Wroclaw. See the majestic Wroclaw fountain, and visit the market square and Centennial Hall. (Breakfast, Dinner)

01 May 2023 - WROCLAW TO BERLIN

We depart Poland and drive back into Germany to the capital city Berlin. We enjoy a guided tour of Berlin showing you some of the remains of the Berlin wall, Checkpoint Charlie, the Brandenburg Gate, Hitler's Bunker and more. (Breakfast, Dinner)

02 May 2023 - BERLIN

A free day to enjoy the sites of Berlin. Why not jump on a hop on hop off city bus tour to cover all the main sites with an audio guide. Alternatively visit the TV tower with incredible views across Berlin, or go shopping on the high streets. (Breakfast)

03 May 2023 - BERLIN TO DRESDEN TO PRAGUE

Our first stop for the day is the beautiful city of Dresden, we see Dresden's spectacular Frauenkirche, regarded as one of the most remarkable reconstruction projects ever to have taken place in Germany. We enjoy free time for lunch, to stroll along Brühl's Terrace and to take in the spectacular views overt the Elbe river. Next stop is the Capital of the Czech Republic, Prague. A afternoon guided tour of Prague shows you the Astronomical Clock, The Old Town square, Church of St. Nicholas, Prague Castle and one of the oldest medieval bridges in Europe, Charles Bridge. We enjoy dinner as a group, and the rest of the evening is yours to explore the medieval city. Absinthe anyone? (Breakfast, Dinner)

04 May 2023 - PRAGUE

A free day in Prague to enjoy the many sites Prague has to offer. C the World recommends the Prague Castle and Sedlec Ossuary. Alternately enjoy some excellent shopping in the shopping districts. (Breakfast)

05 May 2023 - PRAGUE TO JOHANNESBURG

A free morning in Prague for some last minute shopping. Around 12:00 we make our way to the airport for our flight back to Johannesburg. (Breakfast, Dinner on flight)

06 May 2023 - JOHANNESBURG

We arrive back in Johannesburg with a scheduled arrival time of 09:55. Say goodbye to new friends made and take a lifetime of memories with you back home (In flight meals)

Kisses of snow greet us in Munich, Germany together with our guide, Beondi. She graciously explains the rules of the C the World bus.
‘You know the sacred creed, Leave no one behind? Well it’s a myth,’ she explains much to our amusement. There are more guidelines to ensure a pleasant journey but we all remember her favourite, ‘Gratitude’. As our journey continues through magical lands of fairy-tale castles, exquisite churches, snow-capped forests, Strauss waltzes, unicorns and dragons … and the horror of Hitler, our gratitude is heartfelt.
Beondi’s pretty daintiness belies a will of steel as she safeguards us through a labyrinth of metro undergrounds, taxis, foreign currencies, language barriers and cultural customs. ‘Trams have right of way,’ she warns, ‘they won’t stop,’ she jokes. Bicycles too as we wander into the cycle lanes, looking left instead of right at the oncoming traffic.
Beondi proves to be unflappable too, as she deals with drama on the bus: a faulty microphone, a blocked toilet and damage to a parked car. She also hands us ‘Get Lost Tickets’. Our hotel addresses are boldly printed thereon.
C the World is a great mix of ‘old’ and young – the old with the wisdom to know better…and the youth with the spirit to encourage us to forget that we should know better as we join the youngsters for a romp in the snow and strolls along cobbled streets long after midnight.
Later that night in Munich friendships were forged in the Lowenbrau Keller, as bier-steins brimming with aromatic beer were raised in song, Eins, Zwei, Drei, Gsuffa!

Hi Thought I’d let you know you guys set the bar way too high and now I’m struggling. Die eerste toer wat ek ooit gedoen het was deur julle maatskappy. My fout was om aan te neem die diens wat ek by julle ontvang het sal ek by ander toermaatskappye ook kry. Ek is nou al ‘n geruime tyd besig om planne te maak om weer op ‘n toer te gaan einde van die jaar – maar dis nie dieselfde nie. Ek wil dankie se vir die diens wat ek laas jaar ontvang het. Dis amper ‘n geval van “you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone?” haha. C the world REALLY took care of everything!! -Christmas 2014
