Meet your tour manager before you check in for your flight at OR Tambo International Airport at 16:00. Say goodbye to your family or shop in duty free, before we depart on a trip of a lifetime! Enjoy dinner on the plane and get some rest before we start the trip in France the next morning!
11 September 2015 - Paris
Early morning we arrive in Paris at Charles de Gaulle Airport. After completing custom formalities we depart on a bus tour of Paris, with a quick stop over at the Eiffel Tower for photos and a trip to Napoleons tomb with it’s golden roof. We continue to our hotel for some time to refresh and free time for lunch. Late afternoon we take you on guided tour of the Sacre Couer, Monte marte, and Moulin Rouge . (Breakfast on board flight)
12 September 2015 - Paris
Wake up in Paris and start the day with a walking tour that shows you the Opera house, Louvre Museum, Arc de Triomph, Notre Damne and Eiffel Tower with a local tour guide. After lunch, an optional boat cruise takes you to the foot of the Eiffel tower where you will be able to make your way to the top floor with amazing 360 degree views of Paris. (Breakfast)
13 September 2015 - Paris to Switzerland
We depart Paris and take a drive through the French countryside. In the afternoon we enter Switzerland and drive past some spectacular lakes before we reach Interlaken in the heart of the Jungfrau region in the middle of Lake Brienz and Lake Thun. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the views.(Breakfast, Dinner)
14 September 2015 - Switzerland
A free day to explore the Jungfrau region. C the World recommends the world heritage site of Jungfraujoch, where you will be able to enjoy the Ice palace and throwing a snowball. (Breakfast)
15 September 2015 - Switzerland to Pisa
We spend the night on a wine farm just outside Florence, why not take a walk through the vineyards before dinner?
16 September 2015 - Pisa to Florence to Rome
Today we enter the rolling hills of Tuscany, and we make our way towards Florence for a city tour. See the famous cathedral of Duomo, Bridge of Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria (Copy of Michelangelo’s St David’s statue and Neptune). We leave the beauty of Florence, and make our way to the eternal city of Rome and we “do as the Roman’s do”. A late afternoon guided tour of Rome shows you the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish steps and much more. (Breakfast, Dinner)
17 September 2015 - Rome
A free day in Rome. C the world recommends the Vatican City and going into the Colosseum. (Breakfast)
18 September 2015 - Rome to Venice
We leave Rome and make our way to the water canals of Venice. After hotel check-in we take you on a walking tour of the islands with a local Venetian guide. Highlights include the Rialto bridge and St Mark Square. A free evening after the guided tour. Perhaps a Gondola ride? (Breakfast)
19 September 2015 - Venice
A free day in Venice . C the world recommends the glass blowing island of Murano, the lace of Burano or head to Lido’s beach with a Gelato cone. (Breakfast)
20 September 2015 - Venice to Innsbruck
A SPECTACULAR day on the coach. We leave the canals of Venice and enter the Italian Dolomite’s and travel through the ski village Cortina D’Ampezzo. We enjoy a lunch stop at a lake with beautiful scenery. Ciao Italy and enter the hills of Austria. In the afternoon, we arrive in Innsbruck, and see where Swarovski comes from, shop and get your pictures of the Golden roof! We continue into the mountains and spend the night in the ski village of Kitzbuhel.
21 September 2015 - Insbruck to Munich to Ulm
A short drive takes us to the biggest beer festival in the world, OKTOBERFEST. We spend the day in one of the local beer tents, enjoy some bratwurst or Eisbein, and take your photos with your one liter beer stein. The non-beer drinkers can enjoy a day on the festival grounds with thrilling rides and popcorn! A late afternoon drive will take us to Ulm for a good nights rest after a fun packed day.
22 September 2015 - Ulm to Heidelberg to Boppard
We continue North through Germany to the city of Heidelberg. Here you will have the chance to enter the famous castle, see one of the biggest wine barrel’s in the world and have a look at the great view over the Nectar valley. Next we enter the world famous Rhine Valley for a Rhine Valley cruise from St Goar to Boppard. Upon arrival in Boppard, we enjoy a wine tasting before we continue to our hotel. (Breakfast, Dinner).
23 September 2015 - Boppard to Amsterdam
Today we enter Netherlands and travel through the Dutch country side as we visit Zaanse Schans windmill village and the beautiful harbor village of Volendam. We then see how the traditional Clog’s (Wooden Shoe’s or Klompe) are made, and we taste some of the famous Edam cheese. We return to our hotel for a quick dinner, and then it’s time to enter Amsterdam for a guided tour of the infamous Red Light District. The rest of the night is yours to explore Amsterdam, the coffee shops, and to paint the town “Red”. (Breakfast, Dinner)
24 September 2015 - Amsterdam
Your full free day in Amsterdam. C the World recommends a canal cruise, the Heineken Brewery, Anne Frank House or Leidse Plein’s unlimited ribs!! (Breakfast)
25 September 2015 - Amsterdam to Johannesburg
We depart to Schiphol Airport for our direct return flight to South Africa. We arrive back in Johannesburg with a scheduled arrival time of 21:15 (Breakfast, Meals on board flight).
