11 September 2016 - Johannesburg to Paris
Check in with your tour guide at OR Tambo airport in Johannesburg around 16:00 PM. We fly to Paris on a direct flight with Air France. (Dinner on board flight)
12 September 2016 - Paris
An early morning arrival in the French capital. We clear customs, collect our luggage and start with a quick bus tour of the most famous French city. Take some photos at the Eiffel Tower, and feel the rush to drive around the Arc de Triomph and down the champs Elysees. Around mid day we check into our hotel for a well deserved refresher, and late afternoon we take you on a guided walking tour of the Sacre Couer, Montemarte and Moulin Rouge area of Paris. (Breakfast on board flight)
13 September - Paris
After breakfast, we explore all the main sites of Paris on foot. Our guide will show you the Opera house, Vendome Square, Tuileries Garden, the Louvre Museum, Pont Neuf and the Notre Dame. After free time and lunch in the Latin quarter, we continue to the most famous landmark in Paris, the Eiffel Tower. The afternoon is yours to explore Paris at your own pace. (Breakfast)
14 September 2016 - Paris to Strasbourg to Colmar
We board our executive bus and drive through the world famous Champagne area of France on our way to the beautiful city of Strasbourg in Eastern France. Explore the lovely sites of Strasbourg, which includes the massive cathedral and place Kleber. We continue to a hidden Gem of France, Colmar, where we spend the night. (Breakfast, Dinner)
15 September 2016 - Colmar to Switzerland
A free morning to walk the streets of Colmar. Explore the old town and La Petite Venise. We continue our journey to the Swiss alps, as we enter the Jungfrau Valley for the next 2 days. After our arrival at our hotel, sit back, relax, and enjoy the views! (Breakfast, Dinner)
16 September 2016 - Switzerland
A free day to explore the Jungfrau region. C the World recommends the World Heritage Site of Jungfraujoch. (Breakfast)
17 September 2016 - Switzerland to Venice
We depart the Jungfrau Valley with a spectacular drive across the Sustenpass in Switzerland. We continue into Italy as we drive close by Lake Como and Milan on our way towards Venice. After checking into our hotel, we show you the best of Venice. Highlights include the Rialto Bridge and St Mark Square. A free evening after the guided tour. Perhaps a Gondola ride? (Breakfast)
18 September 2016 - Venice
A free day in Venice. C the world recommends the glass blowing island of Murano, or head to Lido’s Beach. (Breakfast)
19 September 2016 - Venice to Salzburg
A spectacular day on the coach as we drive through the Austrian Alps towards the birthplace of Mozart, Salzburg. Situated on the banks of the Salzach river in the Austrian Alps, Salzburg truly is a site to behold. Enjoy the afernoon strolling the streets, visit the Hohensalzburg Fortress , or alternatively see where Mozart was born and lived. (Breakfast)
20 September 2016 - Salzburg to Innsbruck
Ladies, this is a day to remember! We make our way to the Capital of Tyrol in Austria, Innsbruck. Home to the Swarovski Crystals. Innsbruck is a beautiful town surrounded by the Austrian Alps. Whilst the ladies shop for their crystals, the gentleman can sample some of the local Schnapps. (Breakfast, Dinner)
21 September 2016 - Innsbruck to Munich to Ulm
We leave Austria and enter Germany. Germany is famous for excellent attractions, but they also love their Beer. We continue to Munich and visit the annual Oktoberfest, the biggest beer festival in the World! A full day to explore the beer tents. Non beer drinkers can explore the festival grounds with lovely rides, stalls and entertainment for all! Late afternoon we continue to the town of Ulm outside of Munich. (Breakfast, Dinner)
22 September 2016 - Ulm to St Goar to Boppard
We continue North through Germany into the World famous Rhine Valley. We stop in the town of St Goar where guests can visit the biggest free standing cuckoo clock in the world, as well as buy some local souvenirs. We enjoy a Rhine Valley cruise from St Goar to Boppard to explore the fantastic valley further. A wine tasting before dinner is the perfect way to start the evening. We enjoy a buffet dinner at our hotel on the banks of the Rhine Valley (Breakfast, Dinner).
23 September 2016 - Boppard to Amsterdam
Today we enter Netherlands and travel through the Dutch countryside as we visit Zaanse Schans windmill village and the beautiful harbour village of Volendam. We then see how the traditional Clogs (wooden shoes or klompe) are made, and we taste the famous Edam cheese. We return to our hotel for a quick dinner, and then it’s time to enter Amsterdam for a guided tour of the infamous Red Light District. The rest of the night is yours to explore Amsterdam, the coffee shops, and to paint the town red. (Breakfast, Dinner)
24 September 2016 - Amsterdam
A free day to explore the sites of Amsterdam. C the World recommends the Heineken Brewery, Anne Frank's house, or Leidse Plein's unlimited Ribs! (Breakfast)
25 September 2016 - Amsterdam to Johannesburg
An early morning departure to the airport for our direct flight back to South Africa from Amsterdam. We arrive back in South Africa with a scheduled arrival time of 21:15 PM. (Breakfast, Dinner on board flight)
